Urzi vs. North York Board of Education - One winter morning, after dropping her daughter off at a school field trip, Mrs. Urzi fell on a walkway that had not been cleared of ice. The resulting fall shattered Mrs. Urzi’s kneecap. Three years later on a trip to Italy, Mrs. Urzi's knee gave out due to the same injury suffered in the first fall, resulting in a broken hip. After retaining the help of the team at Singer, Kwinter, the court held the North York Board of Education accountable for both injuries.
