Elizabeth's legal background covers a broad range of areas, Immigration, Human Rights, Corporate, Family and Estate and Trust Law and for a period of time she used this experience as legal writer for one of Canada's prominent publishing companies.
At Singer, Kwinter Elizabeth focuses her talents in all areas of family law, including divorce, support, custody trials and negotiations, and child welfare matters. She works diligently on behalf of her clients, ensuring their rights and those of the children are protected.
Elizabeth's in-depth legal knowledge in family matters extends into other areas that effect families, including preparation of wills, trusts, and powers of attorney for property and personal care. Represented estates, heirs and claimants in guardianship and probate (court) proceedings and provided legal assistance to executors in the administration of estates.
Elizabeth was Co-Chairperson of the Board of the Assaulted Women's Helpline (AWHL) (Province wide service). The Board is responsible for overseeing the agency which has a staff of 22 professional and line workers, approving and monitoring a budget of approximately $1.5 million and creating and implementing long term strategic plans for the AWHL.
