Every year thousands of people in Ontario suffer personal injuries as a result of accidents, which occur due to poorly maintained property. Often such accidents occur in high traffic areas such as supermarkets, restaurants and other types of business establishments. Often there is no proper system of inspection to ensure the floors are swept and kept clear of debris.
Sometimes the surface of the floor can be dangerous if it becomes wet. For example, a highly polished tile surface might look great in good weather but can become a deadly trap for unsuspecting pedestrians if the surface becomes wet. Very serious injuries can result from such accidents.
Similarly, many people are seriously injured as a result of slip and fall accidents on snow and ice. Property owners, municipalities and maintenance companies may have responsibilities to prevent and clear snow and ice in a timely and effective manner.
Accidents causing personal injuries may also occur from property neglect, poor maintenance, or areas under repair that are not properly posted. The law firm of Singer, Kwinter has been representing victims of such accidents for almost 30 years. In most cases there is no fee payable until the case is settled.
If you or someone you know has been injured in an accident or has been faced with a denial by an insurance company, contact Singer, Kwinter and schedule your FREE INITIAL CONSULTATION.
